Guilt, Shame & Coping

Guilt is our body's alert system that our actions and behaviours may be going against our core values. Shame is when we attribute and attach those actions to how we view our self-worth. When you feel guilty, don't beat yourself up about it. Instead, acknowledge and tend to it the same way you would a growling stomach alerting you that you need to eat.

  1. Pause
  2. Write a list of your core values
  3. Evaluate your actions
  4. Forgive yourself
  5. Change the behaviours you're not proud of

We carry shame and guilt in our bodies and energy fields long after the event that caused those feelings to happen. Time to release yourself of those feelings! Purge what no longer serves you. Fill your heart back up with pride- be proud of yourself for getting back up after hitting rock bottom. You showed yourself courage, determination, resilience. Be proud of who you are now and who you are becoming. 🌱

WRITING PROMPT: Write down a list of all the things that no longer serve you. What are you releasing? What feelings no longer have a place in your heart, mind, body, aura? When you get back up from that low place, what is coming with you?
